Layered Henley Crochet Pattern
The layered Henley is a striking intermediate/adv crochet pattern that will transport you right back to the early days of tumblr, twilight, pretty little liars, and all things autumn. The patterns stitches mimic a knit look, making the piece opaque around the bust, and stretchy around the waist. This top works from the bottom ribbing up, splitting for the bust, and utilizes short row shaping on the sleeves. The faux layered look gives that perfect touch of edginess, making it a go to subverted basic for when everything starts cooling down.
This pattern was tested for size and clarity by a wonderful team. You can view their photos both on the listing itself and in the look book. The look book contains photos of the testers for inspiration and visualization of the pattern on different body types.
To make this top, you will need 2-3 colors of s fingering/sport weight yarn, 4.5, 4, and 3.5 mm hooks, stitch markers, scissors, a measuring tape, a darning needle, a button, and regular needle and thread (to sew the button).
The yarn estimates provided below are approximations based on the average amount used by testers of this size, factored in with hook changes and gauge. Since this pattern is made to measure, refer to the estimate of the size that you typically wear in tops. The yardage may vary as all bodies are different. Yardage will be written in as the total amount used for the whole project.
Yardage estimates:
XS: 900-1,000 yds
S: 1,100-1,200
M: 1,200-1,400
L: 1,400-1,550
XL: 1,600-1,800
1X: 1,800-2,000
2X: 2,000-2,200
3/4X: 2,200-2,400
